develops and implements strategies for promoting the organization’s performances, programs, and fundraising events through digital marketing, social media, and traditional advertising such as print-fliers.
Job Title: Marketing Committee Chair
Job Summary: The Marketing Committee Chair will lead the marketing efforts for our small nonprofit dance company, overseeing the development and execution of strategies to promote our mission, events, and performances. This role will involve managing the marketing committee, collaborating with board members and staff, and ensuring the organization’s message reaches its target audience effectively. The Chair will help raise awareness, increase engagement, and support the growth and sustainability of the company.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Marketing Committee, setting priorities, goals, and strategy in alignment with the organization’s mission.

Develop and implement marketing plans to promote performances, events, classes, and outreach programs.

Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including social media content, print materials, email newsletters, and press releases.

Manage marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, influencers, and community partners.

Coordinate with the Executive Director and other stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

Analyze marketing campaigns and provide regular updates and reports on outcomes and key performance indicators.

Ensure marketing efforts are inclusive, diverse, and reach underrepresented communities.
Minimum Qualifications:

Proven experience in marketing, communications, or related fields (at least 2 years preferred).

Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing a committee or group.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.

Experience with content creation and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Passion for the arts, particularly dance, and an understanding of nonprofit operations.

Preferred Qualifications:
