Job Description: Part-Time Volunteer Board Member

Organization: Kai Kweol Caribbean Music and Dance Company

Location: Remote

Position Type: Volunteer Commitment: Twice monthly board meetings

 

Overview: As a part-time volunteer board member for Kai Kweol, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization. Your insights and contributions will help us promote dance education, foster community engagement, and create artistic opportunities, positive impact and connection . This is a unique opportunity to work with passionate individuals dedicated to enhancing the arts in our community.

Responsibilities:

• Attend and actively participate in remote board meetings twice a month.

• Collaborate with fellow board members to develop and implement strategic plans.

• Provide oversight and support for the organization's programs and initiatives.

• Assist in fundraising efforts and community outreach activities.

• Review financial statements and budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.

• Contribute to policy development and ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations.

• Advocate for the organization within the community and network for potential partnerships.
   

Qualifications:

• Passion for the arts and a commitment to supporting dance education and community engagement.

• Previous experience in nonprofit organizations, board service, or a related field is preferred but not required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.

• Basic understanding of nonprofit governance and financial management.

• Willingness to dedicate time and effort to the mission of [Your Nonprofit Dance Company Name].
